The College of Vocational Studies (CVS) is one of the top constituent colleges under the University of Delhi. It is a co-educational college, founded in 1972, with an emphasis on specialized education to bridge the gap between traditional university education. It is the only college under DU to provide vocational courses. The college is accredited with an “A” grade by NAAC. 

The college offers various specialized courses which are under B.A. (Vocational Studies) in 7 fields: Management and Marketing of Insurance (MMI), Marketing Management and Retail Business (MMRB), Tourism Management, Office Management and Secretarial Practice (OMSP), Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Human Resource Management (HRM) and Material Management (MM). The college also offers professional honors courses like Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics (BBE) in which people can only get an admission through an entrance examination taken by University of Delhi named as Delhi University Joint Admission Test(DU-JAT). The college moreover extends regular honors courses like B.Com. (Hons.), B.A. (Hons.) Economics, B.A. (Hons.) History, B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science, and recently introduced Bachelor in Management Studies ( Hons.), B.A.(Hons.) English and B.A. (Hons.) Hindi. The college also provides the students with an opportunity to opt for ‘diploma houses as well. Diploma courses comprises language courses in French, German and Spanish and Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism and in Book Publishing.

The College of Vocational Studies has a pleasant infrastructure, which includes substantial ground for sports and recreation and air-conditioned library. Canteen in the college serves decent quality food at a low price. College provides free Wi-Fi to the students on the campus. Classrooms are furnished with projectors to make learning easy through the use of technology.

The Principal of our college is Dr. Inder Jeet Dagar, who has been awarded as the 50 most influential principals across India, according to a list published by World Education Congress in 2019. The teaching staff is truly passionate towards teaching and empowering students towards learning. Teachers are immensely supportive and also always try to introduce new techniques in teaching to illustrate the knowledge in a diversified manner. The course curriculum has been brought about in such a way that can prepare the student ready for the industry. The Placement Cell of CVS, “Aspire ”, brings promising amounts of placement companies with satisfactory CTC. Aspire has also been working to fetch internships relevant for students for practical exposure which is extremely important in today’s competitive outline.

In college there are 20+ active societies for student’s growth and development. It enhances their skills through extra-curricular activities. College hosts its Annual Fest ‘Tatva’, which is awfully well recognized. The location of college also add up to the bonus for the students. It is near the Select City Walk mall and Hauz-Khas Village. The nearest metro station is Malviya Nagar and Chirag Delhi.

College of Vocational Studies provides students with competently groomed space for development and admiring college frontage. With its diverse opportunities for students to stand-out and its identity in providing specialized vocational courses, the college has successfully attained to be labeled as an extraordinary institute from the other colleges.
