1) What is Aspire?

ASPIRE: The Placement Cell of College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi, aims at making opportunities available to students that take them towards a successful future.

Under the guidance of Prof.Gauri Mishra, The College Placement Cell has brought a lot of well-renowned companies for placements as well as internships to the college campus: Aon Hewitt, Genpact, Deloitte and Ernst and Young to name a few. The placement coordinators work tirelessly and selflessly to bring the best companies and job profiles to the college and their dedication ensured that Aspire is rated amongst the top placement cells of Delhi University.

Like the beaming rays of the Sun, ASPIRE brightens the path of all those hardworking talented students who wish to pursue the field of their choice.

2) What should I do to sit for campus placements & How do I register with Aspire?

Ans) To sit for campus placements, a student should register with Aspire at the beginning of their third year & procure a Unique Aspire ID. 

In order to register with Aspire, students can use this link: ‘Register Here’ & check their mail for a Unique Aspire ID.

If a student doesn’t receive his/her CPC ID until 24 hours after registration then contact us at : complaint.aspire.cvs@gmail.com

3) What is an Aspire ID?

Ans) Unique Aspire ID is a unique identification number generated when a final year student registers with Aspire. It is needed by the students to fill the placement forms & to sit for the placement drives. 

4) How can I apply for an Aspire ID?

Ans) Kindly follow the given steps to register with Aspire & procure a Unique Aspire ID – 

  • Use this link ‘Register Here’ to register with Aspire
  • Fill in the required details & submit the form
  • Within 24 hours a mail will be sent to your registered Email address containing your Unique Aspire ID
  • Do not submit the form more than once

5) How can I apply for Internships/Placements?

6) What is a Placement Broadcast? Where can I access it?

Ans) Placement Broadcasts give all the necessary details regarding a particular placement on the basis of which students apply for the placement drive.

7) Who do I approach If I have any query regarding the placement broadcast?

8) Who do I approach if I have a possible contact of a company which wishes to visit our campus for a Placement/Internship?

Ans) A student can contact any placement coordinator  if he/she have a possible contact of a company or Contact us 

9) Is there any eligibility criteria regarding grades / track records for Placements? Can I sit for a Placement even if I have a backlog?

Ans) The criteria is decided by the company but the average grade required by every company is 6 CGPA (cumulative) & clearing all backlogs by the end of the final year.

10) Can I cancel my registration for a placement/Internship?

Ans) Once a student has applied or registered for a drive, the registration can be cancelled 24 hours prior to the last date to apply. 

To cancel his/her registration, the student needs to send his reason on complaint.aspire.cvs@gmail.com at least 24 hours prior to the last date to apply with a valid proof to avoid blacklisting. 

11) What am I required to do on the date of the placement drive?

Ans) On the date of the drive a student should be present 10-15 minutes before the given time in a formal attire and with all the required documents. The candidate is expected to research about the company & job profile before sitting for the orientation. 

12) What am I supposed to carry on the day of the drive?

Ans) Students need to carry at least 2 copies of resume/CV along with 2 passport size photographs, a valid college ID & a valid identification proof with them on the day of the drive.

14) What is a formal attire?

Ans) Students need to be in a formal attire or formally dressed on the day of the drive ie, formal pants & shirt along with boots for boys (blazer/full sleeved sweater is optional) and formal pants & shirt along with boots or a plain Indian suit for girls.

15) What do I do If I am running late for the drive?

Ans) If a student is running late for the drive he/she should inform any of the placement coordinator or the coordinator incharge before hand .

16) What happens if I miss any on/off campus  drive or an Internship interview?

Ans) If a student doesn’t attend a drive for which he/she has registered for, he /she would be immediately blacklisted.

17) What is the Blacklisting system ?

Ans) If a student has registered for the drive but doesn’t wish to attend the drive for genuine reasons, he/she can mail their reasons at complaint.aspire.cvs@gmail.com along with the requisite proof, 24 hours prior to the day of the drive. Aspire has the right to blacklist the students with unsatisfactory reasons from sitting in any further placement drive. 

Example – I do not wish to come day after tomorrow ie, Monday for the drive as I am down with high fever/flu so I will mail my reason along with a proof (prescription/medical) to the above mentioned mail id by midnight today ie, Saturday midnight (24 hours prior to the day of the drive).

18) What do I do, if I wish to appeal against my Blacklisting?

Ans) If a student wishes to appeal against his/her Blacklisting he/she can mail us at complaint.aspire.cvs@gmail.com along with their reason. 

19) What happens if a company selects me?

Ans) If a company selects you in the test/GD round, you proceed to the interview round or sometimes a final interview round at the company’s premises. If you clear the final interview, then you are presented with an offer letter & made to sign the terms & conditions of the company pertaining to the offer letter. You are expected to join the company at the end of your final academic session after receiving the offer letter. 

20) How many offer letters can I accept?

Ans) Any student who has been selected/provided with the offer letter for any 2 firms/companies will not be allowed to sit for any further drives.

21) Can I appear for future drives If I reject any of the offer letters which I have already received?

Ans) If a candidate has a compelling reason to sit in an another drive even after two offers, he may write to us at: complaint.aspire.cvs@gmail.com

 We will judge his/her reason, thereby, allowing or disallowing that request.

22) What are the stages in a recruitment process?

Ans. Each company has their own process of conducting placements but usually, the process involves written tests, group discussions & personal interviews. In some cases the company conducts a final interview at their office. 

23) Can I register for a placement both in the college and at Central placement cell as well?

Ans) Yes you can register at both the places.

24) What do I do, if I have been offered a job ahead of Placement i.e, a Pre Placement Offer (PPO)?

Ans) You can accept or reject the offer. However if you accept the offer you have to inform the placement cell immediately. A student can contact any placement coordinator   or Contact us 

25) What shall I do, if I have any further query/doubt regarding the recruitment process, the rules & regulations of the same or anything related to Placements/Internships in our college?
